A morning I will never forget!

Sunday morning spent at the @elyte.hydration Winter HYROX Sim hosted by @common_ground_hamilton. Had a good hit out doing an Open Solo Full Sim Race and used this to get some race experience and practise pacing and race strategies going into @hyroxanz Perth and my first Pro solo race.
But today was not about me…. It was all about Olivia! Olivia is one of my clients and she is Autistic

We did a Mixed Half Sim Race (500m runs, full distance and men’s weight stations) and this was her FIRST EVER!! fitness event! There are no words to describe how proud I am of you Olivia! She showed some of the most determination and grit that I have ever seen anyone do!.

I asked her at points did she want to take a rest and in true Olivia form she replied… “No, I don’t want to because I can do it!”

Watching her throughout the race, I was having to hold back tears (happy tears), but once we finished, they just came straight out!.

For Olivia to push through the sensory overload that comes with these events (loud music, bright lights, lots of people) just shows that, no matter who you are, what diagnoses, disabilities, or struggles you have, if you put your mind to it, you can do it!!

Olivia is living proof of it!

And to top it off! She wants to do another one! This time the real deal! So @hyroxworld @hyroxanz we will be seeing you in the near future 👀
